About Kopipets
Kopipets is a Singapore pet supplies brand owned and operated by Surplus Media Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202448810R). Surplus Media is a Singapore-registered company and the importer of record for every Kopipets product sold here. The company name printed on the back of our packaging is the company you are buying from — not a trading name, not a dropshipper, not a licensee. Our UEN is on this page so you can look us up in ACRA's register rather than take our word for any of it.
Surplus Media Pte. Ltd. was incorporated in November 2024. Kopipets began trading in Singapore in April 2025. We sell directly at kopipets.com.sg, on Shopee — where Kopipets Store is a Shopee Mall seller — and on GrabMart.
That Shopee Mall detail is worth one sentence of explanation, because it is one of the few claims on this page that a stranger can verify in about ten seconds. Shopee Mall is not a tier you can buy; it requires the seller to submit brand ownership or brand authorisation documents to the platform and be approved. Our Mall status is therefore Shopee's own independent confirmation that the company writing this page is the company that owns this brand.

What we actually sell
About four in five of our roughly 200 active products are made to our own specification under the Kopipets name rather than bought in as finished goods from someone else's catalogue. In practice that means:
Cat litter and litter care — tofu cat litter, litter deodorising additives, scoops, litter boxes including an automatic one.
Training and pee pads — multi-layer pads in several sizes, and an activated-charcoal version.
Grooming and cleaning — amino acid shower gel, bath brushes and gloves, absorbent bath towels, blow-dry brushes, a pet drying box, ear cleanser, paw balm, pet wipes.
Feeding equipment — stainless steel bowls, wireless water fountains, airtight food storage, automatic feeders.
Food and supplements — wet food, cat treats, wild salmon fish oil, and a grain-free dry cat food currently in preparation.
Everyday equipment — beds and cooling mats, carriers and strollers, leashes, scratchers.
Basic first aid — a 101-piece pet first aid kit.
We do not sell prescription medicines, vaccines, deworming treatments or veterinary drugs. If your cat or dog needs those, they need a vet, not a shop.
We hold our own stock in Singapore
This is the part of Kopipets that cost the most to build and that customers notice most, so it is worth describing precisely.
We operate our own 3,000 m² warehouse in Singapore, at JTC Space @ Tuas Biomedical Park. We are not a drop-ship storefront and we do not forward orders to an overseas warehouse. Stock sits here, in this country, before you order it. Three things follow from that, and all three are the actual reason we built it.
Delivery is next day, not next week. Because the goods are already on the island, an order does not wait on customs clearance, an air consolidation, or a container. We also run our own delivery fleet rather than handing everything to a third-party courier, which means we control the schedule instead of joining someone else's queue. Orders placed before 2 pm on a weekday are delivered the next working day across mainland Singapore. We do not deliver at weekends or on public holidays, so an order placed on Friday afternoon arrives on Monday. We would rather write that down than let you find it out after ordering.
Returns and exchanges are simple. A return travels back to a warehouse on this island, not to a mainland Chinese address that quietly makes returning a S$20 item not worth the postage. This is the most common way online pet brands make a generous-sounding returns policy meaningless in practice, and holding local stock is the only real fix for it.
What the site says is in stock, is in stock. Litter, pee pads and food are consumables — people buy them precisely because they have run out, which makes a two-week backorder useless no matter how cheap it is. We would rather carry the inventory cost ourselves than tell a customer their cat's litter is arriving in a fortnight.
We also keep our own repair technicians in house. Several of our products are appliances — the drying box, the automatic litter box, the water fountains — and appliances eventually need a part replaced. Most brands at our price point handle that by shipping a whole new unit if you are lucky and going quiet if you are not. We would rather fix the one you already own.
Our twelve-month promise, and why we can actually honour it
Most online pet shops offer a quality guarantee. Very few are structured so that honouring one is cheap for them — and a guarantee that costs the seller more to honour than to ignore is not a guarantee, it is a sentence on a webpage.
If something is wrong with a Kopipets product, we will put it right, for twelve months from delivery, on any reasonable claim. Email info@kopipets.com.sg and you will hear back from a person the same day. From there it is one of three things, depending on what is wrong: one of our own drivers or technicians comes out to repair the item, we replace it, or we send the missing or damaged part. In practice that is finished within two to four days of you contacting us. This is how we have handled it since we started; writing it down here does not change the process, it just makes it something you can hold us to.
We have not written a page of exclusions, because we do not operate one. The word doing real work in that sentence is reasonable: a water fountain pump that dies in month nine is covered; a bag of litter you have already used is not.
The reason we can afford to work this way is the warehouse. Every Kopipets shipment is checked on arrival in Singapore before it enters sellable stock, and we keep the batch records. When a replacement is needed, it is already on a shelf here, so it goes out on our own van rather than waiting for the next container. When an appliance can be repaired, our own technicians repair it. A promise like this one is not a matter of generosity — it is a matter of whether the stock and the people are in the same country as the customer.
How Kopipets products are made
We do not own a factory. Kopipets products are manufactured to our specification by contract manufacturers and imported into Singapore by Surplus Media Pte. Ltd.
We say that plainly because nearly every pet brand at our price point works the same way, and pretending otherwise is a small lie that tells you something about the larger ones. The useful question was never "do you own the factory." It is "what do you actually check, and can you show it?"
What we check: we select manufacturers that hold current third-party food-safety and quality-management certification, and we keep those certificates on file with their numbers and expiry dates. Where a manufacturer authorises us to publish them, we publish them in full — company name, certificate number, validity date — so that anyone can verify them against the issuing body's own database. Where a manufacturer has not authorised publication, we say nothing at all rather than making a vague claim you have no way to check. An expired certificate quoted on a website is worse than no certificate, and we would rather be the brand with the shorter list.
Our tofu cat litter has been tested by an accredited laboratory and we publish the results in full — all seventeen test items, the limits they were measured against, the report number and the laboratory's own verification code, so you can check the report on the laboratory's website rather than on ours. That includes the formaldehyde result, and it also includes the two dust-related figures, which are low but are not zero. Read the full test report here.
Things we have decided not to do
A range, and a brand, is defined as much by what it leaves out as by what it stocks. Four of ours:
We don't buy reviews. Kopipets does not pay for reviews, does not give refunds, credit, free product or gifts in exchange for a rating, and does not post reviews from accounts we control — not on this site, not on Shopee, not anywhere else. That is our standing policy as of July 2026, and we are writing it down rather than leaving you to assume it. We know how ordinary the opposite is in this category. That is exactly why it is worth saying: a 4.9 rating is only worth reading if it was not bought, and you have no way to tell the difference from the outside unless someone is willing to put the commitment in writing and be held to it.
We don't sell 5 kg bags of dry cat food. One average 4 kg cat eats around 56 g of dry food a day, so a 5 kg bag is roughly three months of feeding and a 7.5 kg bag closer to four and a half. What measurably changes over that span is not the fat turning rancid — we used to say that here, and the study evidence we have since read does not support it — but the fat-soluble vitamins, which decline over months of storage even in cool, dry conditions. We sell 1.5 kg as our main size instead, which one cat finishes in about four weeks. This is not a stand against an industry norm: 1.2–2 kg is already the dominant dry cat food size in Singapore, and the small bag costs you more per kilogram than a large one would, so the position costs us nothing. If you have two or more cats, or you are fostering, the large bag is the right buy and we say so. The full arithmetic, the sources, and the case against our own position are set out in why we don't sell 5 kg bags of cat food.
We don't give veterinary advice. We are glad to talk about litter types, feeding volumes, transitioning a fussy cat, or which of our products suits an HDB flat. Diagnosis, medication and treatment belong with a licensed vet, and a shop that blurs that line is doing something worse than being unhelpful.
We don't publish claims we cannot evidence. If we cite a laboratory result, we name the laboratory, give the report number, and say under whose authorisation we are citing it. If we cite a certification, we give the certificate number and expiry date so you can check it yourself. If we can do neither yet, the claim stays off the page until we can.
Where to find and verify us
Our own store is kopipets.com.sg. Our Shopee Mall store is Kopipets Store, where our rating, review history and order volume are public and outside our control — which makes them a more useful thing to read than anything we could write about ourselves on this page. We are also on GrabMart as Kopipets - Apex @ Henderson, and on Facebook and TikTok.

A note for Singapore cat owners
Cat licensing in Singapore became mandatory under a transition period running from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2026. Licensing is free during that window; after it closes, keeping an unlicensed cat carries a penalty of up to S$5,000. HDB households may keep up to two cats, and private residences up to three cats and dogs combined. This is administered by the Animal & Veterinary Service under NParks, and applications are made through their site, not through us. We mention it because a surprising number of our customers still do not know the deadline exists.
